St. Francis Preschool has the following teaching positions available

beginning in the 21-22 school year. 

Lead Teacher – 2 year old (2 days per week)

Lead Teacher – 4 year old (4 days per week)

 

St. Francis Preschool is seeking an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about providing a faith filled education experience to the children enrolled in our 4 day 4-year-old class or our 2 day 2 year old program. The lead teacher creates a nurturing and exciting early educational experience for the children enrolled in the preschool while overseeing the safety and physical well-being of the children at all times.  The teacher will engage the children in play and activities that are age and developmentally appropriate. Early Childhood teachers must have either a bachelor’s degree in early childhood education or elementary education, or must have 4 years of experience working with young children and have or be in the process of attaining an early childhood credential.

The Church has the following position available:

Administrative Assistant for Pastoral Ministries

(Full Time, Non-exempt, 40 hours per week)

This position provides outstanding administrative support to the departments within pastoral ministry in the area of communications, finance, database maintenance, and event support.  The ability to handle multiple task in an effective and efficient manner is a must, as this position has a wide variety of duties, which includes assisting with funeral coordination, preparing liturgy worship aides, coordinating mass intention process, managing volunteer scheduling, administrative and logistical support for events and donation drives, as well as website and newsletter design and communications.  The successful candidate will have strong organization and time management skills, superior customer service skills, ability to work under time sensitive constraints and maintain a high level of confidentiality.  A minimum of 3 years administrative support is required, in addition to excellent knowledge of MS Office and desktop publishing.  Experience working in a ministerial environment is preferred.

The Franciscan School has the following openings available:

 

Elementary Teachers – Grade 3 and Kindergarten 

The Franciscan School is seeking qualified classroom teachers in the 3rd grade and kindergarten. The primary role of the classroom teacher is to instruct students in the Diocesan Curriculum for that specific grade, while challenging them to move beyond their current level of academic success.  The candidate will demonstrate the ability to draw the students out to reach their full potential as it applies to the goals and requirements of the Diocesan curriculum.

 

As an instructor in a school with over 650 students, the ability to tie together the lessons within each grade as part of the grade level team, and make them build upon each other year after year, using established best practices and methods for instruction, is essential. The applicant would be responsible for working together with the entire faculty and the administrative team to provide a safe and academically challenging environment.  One that builds upon the charism of the Catholic Church, and our Franciscan traditions, to form our students as fine young men and women prepared for their futures academically, socially, and morally.

 

Instructional Teaching Assistant

The Franciscan School is seeking an Instructional Teacher Assistant (ITA).  The primary role of the ITA will be to assist the lead teacher and grade level team in creating a classroom environment that is consistent with the mission of the school and the parish.  The candidate will provide classroom support to the lead teacher by providing general assistance with daily tasks, such as copying and planning for lessons, small group assistance, supervision of students when necessary, handling of disciplinary issues when appropriate, and assisting with special projects, such as field trips.  The ITA is expected to participate in parish staff gatherings, conferences, and will collaborate as a member of the team to provide academic excellence for the students.
